Polish President Karol Nawrocki is set to engage in a series of high-level discussions on security during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in the United States. A key meeting on his agenda is with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, where security issues are anticipated to be a central topic.
In addition to his discussions with Erdoğan, President Nawrocki will hold talks with the leaders of the Baltic states—Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia—focusing on regional security concerns. These meetings underscore the importance of collaborative approaches to security among European nations in the current geopolitical climate.
During his U.S. visit, Nawrocki will also participate in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, further highlighting Poland’s involvement in global discussions. He is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN General Assembly President Chalilur Rahman, as well as the chairperson of the African Union, to discuss various international issues.
On a more solemn note, President Nawrocki and First Lady Marta Nawrocka paid their respects to the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, reflecting on the lasting impact of global terrorism and the ongoing need for international cooperation in combating such threats.
