Solustiq, a software and artificial intelligence company based in Turkey, has announced its strategic emergence as the nation’s first vertical AI enterprise designed specifically for the global travel and tourism industry. Operating out of Edirne, with offices in Istanbul and Dubai, Solustiq is crafting an AI infrastructure that addresses the technological gap in the world’s largest service sector. Despite contributing over $11 trillion to global GDP and employing one in ten workers worldwide, the travel and tourism industry remains technologically underdeveloped. Solustiq is part of a burgeoning trend of “vertical AI” companies that create AI products tailored to the unique demands of specific industries.
According to Alper Tekin, Founder and CEO of Solustiq, the travel industry requires AI solutions that comprehend the intricacies of GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Solustiq’s approach is to build a portfolio of AI-native products that target various components of the travel technology stack, rather than following the typical single-product SaaS model. These products include DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform; SkilledAgents, a no-code platform for building AI agents; VibePy, an AI code generation engine; and Vuln0x, an AI penetration testing platform. These products collectively address different pain points within the travel value chain, leveraging domain-specific training data and industry-standard protocols.
Solustiq’s vertical AI strategy is actively tested through its affiliate, Safaryar Holidays, a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler based in Istanbul. This relationship enables Solustiq to receive practical feedback from Safaryar’s agency partners across Europe, the Gulf region, and Central Asia, which use Solustiq’s tools regularly. Additionally, Solustiq manages over 90 travel-related domains, which serve as channels for AI-generated travel insights.
Three pivotal factors make 2026 a crucial year for vertical AI in the travel sector, as per Tekin. The first is the disruption of legacy GDS oligopolies, with companies like Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport facing significant challenges from emerging AI-native infrastructure providers. Secondly, the cost dynamics of “build vs. buy” have shifted, enabling smaller travel agencies to afford AI solutions at SaaS prices. Lastly, regulatory developments in the EU and Turkey, such as Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, are driving the modernization of travel infrastructure. Tekin emphasizes that the choice for the travel industry is between vertical AI, created by insiders, and horizontal AI, developed by those outside the industry.
Solustiq, officially known as Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş., aims to revolutionize the travel and tourism industry with its suite of AI-native software products. Founded by Alper Tekin, who also runs TURSAB-licensed travel operations through Safaryar Holidays, the company is poised to redefine how technology serves the travel sector.
